Product Description
BrailleDoodle, from The TouchPad Pro Foundation, is an affordable, refreshable two-sided tablet for teaching Braille and creating tactile graphics. Using small ball bearings and a magnetic stylus, users raise each dot to create braille characters and graphics. Simply press down on the ball bearing to erase the graphic. This allows someone to write and create, feel as they go, and erase with ease. The Braille learning side allows users to explore ‘no fail’ examples and practice spaces for letters, numbers, some symbols, and sight words. Two rows of 19 Braille cells beneath allow the user to write and read words and complete sentences.
The doodle side is a blank slate of 41 by 31 holes allowing users to create their own tactile graphics. Use the doodle side to draw and teach graphs, create graphic shapes, and accessible diagrams. Great for teaching science, math, and art. The BrailleDoodle comes with 2 pre-made stencils - one for making an "H" and drawing a house with trees, and one to create an overlay for 84 Braille cells. One bonus stencil also included! Additional stencils are available to learn Math braille, contractions, shapes, print letters, graphs, art, and even braille in different languages!
The BrailleDoodle is suitable for learners of all ages and skill levels. Based on proven, motivational, and multi-sensory teaching methods, anyone can learn to read and write Braille!
