The omni-wheel, from Omnia Wheel, is a new style white cane tip which is helpful for people using constant contact cane technique. The design allows for 360 degree, rolling constant contact mobility, but provides additional benefits such as improved sensory and auditory feedback. Also, with its durable polymer construction, it does not wear out as quickly as many conventional cane tips. Works on all Ambutech hook style canes.
Omni-wheels are different from regular wheels in that they have specialized rollers attached to them around the circumference of the main wheel disc. These rollers allow a wheel to move easily in all directions, similar to a caster wheel, but much more fluidly and without catching or sticking.
