The inner lip holds the food on the plate, while the person brings the fork or spoon to the edge of the plate. The plate is very successfully used in hundreds of nursing homes and hospitals. Perfect for use at home. Blends in with regular tableware. The Inner-Lip plate is made of molded unbreakable polypropylene, which is lightweight, durable, easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. Plate comes in off white and weighs only six ounces, has a height of 1 inch, and a diameter of 9 inches. Microwavable and dishwasher safe. Also available with a recessed non-slip rubber pad on the bottom.
